Jason Wood

Director of Player Personnel, Assistant Coach

Jason joins the Squatch after a very successful 5 years as Assistant Coach with the Mn Blue Ox Junior A hockey team in the USPHL. There he helped put together a great organization, culture and team as a startup 5 years ago leading to 170 wins and 3 National Tourney appearances.

Prior to that Coach Wood spent 17 years coaching Minnesota High School hockey for Maple Grove, Champlin Park, North Metro, and with USA hockey at the High Performance 16/17 Regional Levels. He is a USA Hockey Level 4 certified instructor. Coach Wood is proud that he has helped instruct and develop dozens of local players that have gone on to play collegiately and professionally. His love of the game, along with his experience and knowledge of the scouting markets will make him a valuable addition to this organization.

Growing up in “The state of hockey” he was raised and played hockey in Blaine, Minnesota. Jason now resides in Brooklyn Park with his wife Stacey and family. The Wood family has also been a billet family, having a great experience which will also help the organization in billet planning. As a coach, hockey parent, & billet parent, it is important to him to be able to promote and give our players the best experience possible.
